    A semi-dry sparkling cider which has been aged for months in Portuguese Madeira wine casks. The Madeira casks impart darker color, medium-rich texture and depth of flavor. The roots of the Madeira wine industry date back to the age of exploration, when the Isle of Madeira was a regular port of call for ships travelling to the East Indies. Madeira was a popular wine during colonial America.

FERMENTATION

All Turncoat fermentations and post fermentation blending is done by Ron Sansone the current President of the Cider Institute of North America and owner of Spoke & Spy Ciderworks in Middletown, CT.  Ron is a talented cider maker and has received recognition and awards across the cider spectrum.
